Layla El is a British dancer, model and professional wrestler with Moroccan descendant. She was hired by World Wrestling Entertainment as a WWE Diva and appeared in Smackdown as Layla. She was the last woman to win the WWE Women’s Championship title.

After joining an art performance in university, El was also a dancer for Carnival Cruise Lines, Miami Heat franchise of the NBA, and also danced for Kanye West in MTV Video Music Awards. In 2006, she was a contestant of the WWE Diva Search which he won to earn a contract with the company.

When Smackdown first appeared, she moved to ECW in January 2007, where she formed a dance group called Extreme Expose with Kelly Kelly and Brooke Adams. In 2008, she was promoted to RAW, where she was plotted to maintain William Regal. The next year she returned to Smackdown, where she formed an alliance with Michelle McCool; better known as Tim Lay-Cool. In May 2010, Layla won the WWE Women’s Championship title for the first time, making her the first English woman to win the title. She was also the winner of the Diva Search who won the title for the first time, and was acknowledged as the last WWE Women’s Champion when the competition ended in 2010.
